Open Question: Is unity a software for examin the signal?
Can any one help me with this question? Natural and man-made objects in the path of a radio signal can cause attenuation, or a less of signal strength. Locate a notebook computer with a wireless local area network that transmits to an access point. Launch the unity that monitor the strength of the signal and move the computer away from the access point. (1) Determine how far you can be from the access point before the signal is too weak to be useful. (2) Record what objects in the path of the signal have the greatest impact. (3) Also monitor the strength of the signal while covering the antenna of the wireless NIC (if built into the notebook, try covering the back of the screen of the bottom of the notebook with your hand (for a short-period of time), a piece of aluminium foil, a sheet of paper, and sheet of plastic (like a shopping bag), and a key ring containing many keys. Record the results and write a paper on your finding. Is unity a software? where can I download it? is my wireless modem an access point?! How can I answer this question? I feel a little bit stupid now :( I have a good signal in everywere in my house, even when I'm in my neighbor's house I can connect to my internet with out any difficulty.
